Body Machine and Frances take training to a whole new level. I have worked out at gyms and with personal trainers since my 20s but never before have I achieved the results I have at Body Machine with TRX, spinning and personal training - my family and friends can’t believe my transformation.

I met Frances in 2019 when my body had been badly impacted by grief, menopause and stress. Frances listened to what my goals were and implemented a training regime that has made me stronger, healthier and fitter than ever before. Added to this, the gym is the most beautiful space I have ever worked out in.

Floor to ceiling windows flood the studio with natural light compared to all the gyms that put their clients in artificially lit rooms or basements which are so depressing.

During lockdown Frances has run amazing online classes, supplied her clients with equipment to use at home and kept us all healthy and achieving our fitness goals. As you can probably tell, I am a big fan.

I have known Frances for many years and have had a lot of fun with her as an original Spinaddikt! I have always been obsessive about my fitness but a bulging disc with an annular tear (sustained through too much running) really knocked my exercise regime sideways. I tried many, many different specialists until I remembered Frances and asked her to train me back to fitness.

She has the most precise eye for detail. It was she alone who spotted muscular imbalances and overcompensation which were serving to exacerbate my pain. Within two weeks, she had put me onto a recovery road that no other specialist had been able to do in the prior 10 months.

Frances’s wealth of knowledge and her true passion for what she does is beyond compare. She is, without doubt, one of the most impressive fitness professionals that I have ever met.

Frances is one of the best, if not THE best, spin & fitness instructor in London, and probably the U.K. The venue is 5-star. The music 🎶 she plays whilst spinning is just sublime. I have my Iphone Shazam on the whole time. You will not experience spinning classes like the ones Frances puts on. My praise is genuine but if it comes across as hyperbole just go to Body Machine yourself and experience it to believe it.

I first began spinning with Frances when she ran her private indoor cycling group SpinAddikts in South Kensington more than 15 years ago. I lost touch with her when I moved out of London and found her again in 2019, not long after she had opened her own fitness studio, Body Machine, on Kensington High Street.

I really missed this place during the triple lockdowns in 2020/21. I have been having 1-1 spinning classes with Frances each Saturday since the rules changed in April 2021. In my 1-1 spin session with her for 75 minutes, I burned a staggering 1200 calories. My chest -strap monitor/app does not lie.

I realised in lockdown that Body Machine is essential to my physical, emotional and social good health. The place is like a community with cool architecture, a cool cafe & clean and secure changing rooms. Frances’ TRX classes are second to none. Combined with a spin class they’re great. You have to experience Body Machine for yourself. I will continue to invest in my body & soul by going to Body Machine, and I have no hesitation in recommending you do too.

I’m so glad that I found Body Machine. I’m in London for a couple months from Los Angeles, and I was looking to maintain my muscle mass with strength training classes.
I walked into Body Machine and was taken by the state of the art studio with large open windows, cutting-edge equipment, and the pristine interior.

I started taking the TRX classes with Frances, and I can surely say she is one of the best, motivated trainers I have worked with. The classes are a perfect mix of strength training with intermittent high intensity drills. I have been working out regularly since I’ve been a young adult (that is 15+ years) at studios across Los Angeles, Boston, Vancouver, and New York and this is by far one of my favorite places.

Also Frances is so friendly and encouraging. She takes the time to speak with all her clients. I also really enjoy their cafe with “clean”, gluten free food carefully selected to nourish and refuel your body.

My wife and I were in London for a short stay and came across Body Machine. We booked a spin class with TRX suspension training.
The equipment was state of the art as well as the facility itself. This was a group workout of varying abilities. Each spin cycle was equipped with a power meter and could be linked to a Garmin device if so desired. Because of this, each participant could work at his or her desired level within the structured class. This worked great for us as I am a dedicated road cyclist back home and my wife is not. From there we went upstairs to the TRX room. Here again the workout was structured to be effective not only for the elite athlete, but also for the varying abilities below.... I fall in the varying abilities below, by the way. All in all this was a great experience.

I have been seeing Frances for many years. Her Spinaddikts classes are incredible. You will never find a spin class like it!! Very challenging and a lot of fun.
I have also seen her for one to one Personal Training sessions. Having a background in sports massage and trained in pilates, I can be incredibly fussy about who I see. Finding a trainer who really gets me, understanding past injuries and my training objectives, is difficult.

Frances has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to injuries and training, ensuring the training program she gives you is exactly what you need and fits in with your goals. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend visiting BMPS for all your training needs!!

Gorgeous facilities and best spin class in London!
I’m following Frances from her previous location and know I’m guaranteed an effective workout with her classes.
I recommend TRX after spin which includes a combination of stretches and strength building exercises. It also helps that the studio is filled with lots of natural light and designed specifically for TRX.

Body Machine Performance Studio is the best place in London for TRX and SpinAddikts indoor cycling classes. Frances is a great instructor and her classes are very challenging.
The three story space is designed by her and her architectural partner Jorgen Tandberg- its open design and airy studios are a great plus.
The cafe area is very quiet serving good coffees, healthy protein shakes and bites.
Definitely a great find on Kensington high street and very different from the crammed neighbours. I highly recommend this classy place.

Frances is incredibly knowledgeable. Within a few weeks there was notable improvement in my core strength. Always punctual with a different workout plan tailor made for every session in her head! It is obvious that she thinks a lot about each session and each client – so you really are getting a highly professional personal training service. She makes use of every second you spend with her, as we wait for my heart rate to come down, she talks about your diet, some changes you need to make, etc. She is a fantastic find and will now be helping my son improve his flexibility.
